I had a fantastic time at WaysConf with Aliaksandra Tsiatserkina! The conference was incredible, I've gained so much knowledge and inspiration.Special thanks to Joanna Gierasimiuk for the workshop "Universal Usability - how to include people with disabilities in UX Research?" The workshop immersed me in the feelings of people with special needs, and I'm really excited to explore it further. Can't wait for the next WaysConf! ๐#Waysconfig2023 #Accessibility #UXDesign

Last week, our whole team got involved with digital accessibility training from AbilityNet. Covering the fundamentals in disability, the case for accessibility, and the core guidelines and standards was a useful reminder for ways we can improve digital experiences for everyone. Though accessibility is always at the core of our UX and design, we'll always say yes to further education and new perspectives. Thank you to Lizi Green for running the session - it was really helpful! #yoyo #digital #accessibility"

The journey of self-discovery often leads us to moments of deep introspection and reflection, where we find ourselves grappling with tough questions about our choices and the path ahead. And in the face of these challenges and uncertainties, it's so common to feel overwhelmed when going through it alone. That's when we want to step in- to create a safe space where designers can gather, share their experiences, and grow together. Through the heartfelt exchange of our stories โ the highs, the lows, and everything in between โ our aim is to knit together a community of support and friendship that goes beyond mere networking.Always remember, you're never alone on this journey. Whether you're currently navigating through rough patches or reveling in achievements, let's walk through it together. ๐ซ #DesignedMinds #CommunitySupport #JourneyTogether #Community #YouAreNotAlone #Encouragement #Empowerment #SupportCommunity #UX #UXDesigners

We don't see things as they are; we see things as we are.We don't know; we assume. As UX professionals, one of our most significant learnings from conducting interviews with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds is recognizing our unconscious biases.Understanding that we bring our own perspectives into our work is crucial. To create great design ideas and concepts, we need to approach problems from our users' perspectives, not just our own. This includes ensuring that people with disabilities and other cultural backgrounds are integral to our research and design processes.Always be aware of your (unconscious) biases!#UX #UXResearch #UXDesign #Inclusion #Accessibility #A11Y #EthicalDesign#BiasedPerception #ImplicitBias #InclusiveDesign
